Butterscotch

Butterscotch1.jpgButterscotch.jpg

“Surviving is important, but thriving is elegant.”  Maya Angelou.  Gnawing on pizza crust was never my idea of a tres chic four-course meal; however, when one’s survival is at stake, sensibilities are sacrificed.  Yes, I was the somewhat emaciated butterscotch kitten who lived on pizza crust and bravado.  Abandoned by my mother, I was forced to fend for myself in the harsh world. By hiding amidst thick bushes, and foraging in the dumpster for crumbs, I tricked Fate, that vengeful fiend, and eluded death.

Blessed rescue came in the form of loving gentle hands and bounteous bowls of kitten chow.  Now, I am of a sound round belly and particular pallet. No moldy pizza crust for me, I am now a connoisseur of the kitten chows.  So if you are looking for a sweet round kitten with refined taste and a hearty appetite, I am the butterscotch baby for you.  Yes, I am indeed a thriving kitten who has found elegance in living, so lets dwell in harmonious elegance together.

A word from my Foster Mom:  I found Butterscotch baby under a dumpster behind Brookshire’s Grocery gnawing on a pizza crust.  She was the most pathetic site I have ever seen.  You could count each of her little ribs and she had no hair on her tail.  I have no idea how that sweet baby survived for so long.  She is a healthy playful butterball now.  Due to her round belly, I have taken her to the vet numerous times fearing worms.  After worming her twice, the vet assures me that her rotund belly is due to her voracious appetite.  While under vet supervision, she was caught red-handed trying to steal food from the cage next to hers.    It seems once she feels safe and secure, assured that she will not have to hunt and steal her next meal from a foul garbage receptacle, she will slow down and actually chew her food before swallowing.  She is already spayed, vaccinated, house trained and ready for her forever home.

Butterscotch was adopted by Mrs. Eunice Pfeifer

Just a note to assure you that Miss Butterscotch is doing just fine!  It took her a day or so to orient herself to her new home and she is still a little nervous about sudden noises, but she isn't hiding anymore.  She's checking everything out this morning and she & Katy are getting acquainted enough to chase each other through the house. (hjnbl;...=-[-bvvgdr dfcfc fvv  ......she just jumped up in my lap and is sending you a message!  HA )

Miss Butterscotch will love a kiss from you.  She's pretty demanding about her loving these days..she puts her head against my arm and pushes when she wants to be petted....which is real often!  She even swatted at my leg this morning as I was walking along and ignoring her.  She's a mess!

Thank you for rescueing her and allowing us to bring her into our home.  We love her already and I'm sure she will be a source of joy for a long time to come.

Sincerely,

Eunice Pfeifer

Bailey aka Poppy

bailey1.jpg bailey2.jpg

Raggedy Ann kittens are especially made for love.  Charming cuddly bundles of sweetness and joy are perfect for both chubby cherubs and cherubic grumbles, and also happy couples or disgruntle singles.  My name is Bailey and as a rag doll calico kitten, I am a bouncy adorable ball who finds great joy in living; therefore, I am perfect for all.  My disposition is exceptionally cherry and (pardon my arrogance) I am simply achingly cute. ACHINGLY.

However, there is one aspect of my life that dampens my naturally wonderfully aura.  Yes, one circumstance does have the power to dull my purr and ruffle my precocious whiskers with disgruntle sighs.  You see, I am homeless, and in desperate need of a gentle home.  And if you offer me benevolent sanctuary, I, in return, vow to brighten your existence with unparallel contentment and delight.  For I am an extraordinary Raggedy Ann kitten whose merry exuberance will enlighten your days.  Yes, my companionship will provide brilliance luminosity to the gloomy grey days and fulfillment to both young and old alike.

Bailey aka Poppy was adopted by Mr. Paul Roraback.  Thanks again for blessing us with such a wonderful family member.

-Paul

 Greyson

grayson.jpg

I would like to thank you for letting me have the privilege of having Greyson. He is a wonderful, loving pet. Actually, he is a member of my family already. Shoo Shoo is still kind of leery of him, because he's used to having all my attention!  But I am sure they will be big buddies before long. My parents love him already too! I will send you pictures & keep you updated on how he is doing. Again, thanks soooooooooooo much!

Finneas Grey aka Henry

 finneas.jpg

“The World belongs to the rascals, Heaven belongs to the good.”  Persian  Proverb.  Finneas Grey is my name and being adorably cute is my game.  As a dashingly handsome black and white kitty, I find great happiness in pouncing, purring, and catching precious glimpses of my debonair reflection in the mirror (Ok, I admit the glimpses are actually long gazing moments of silent admiration).

Unfortunately, there is one thing that does have the power to dim my good-looking mien.  Yes, one circumstance defiantly mars my witty sparkle, washes out my pearly complexion, and diminishes my charming demeanor.  I am homeless.   Without a home.  No Casa.  Su Casa?  Meow.

Therefore, I do beseech you in the most charismatic of ways to offer me a loving home.  And while you ponder this request, keep in mind my velvety ears are perked and my amazing luxurious whiskers are quivering with hope.  So if you are looking for an affectionate rascal, Finneas Grey is my name and being your kitten is my game!

Mr. Finneas Grey aka Henry was adopted by Phil & Heather Catton.

Just an update on Finneas Gray (aka Henry :>).He is doing great and he is such a sweet boy. I think he's even won my husband over who's not a big cat person. Matilda our dog was very scared of him at first. She wouldn't even look  him in the eye. She'd just turn her head and pretend she was invisible - that's our brave 60lb dog for you! I'm glad that it wasn't the other way though with her being aggressive or something.

It only took Matilda about a day to get over her fright and start checking him out. He was just great with her being very calm and cool and just letting her sniff around him. He's a great little guy! They're starting  to become more friendly and Matilda even lets him bat her on the nose when she gets too close. I think they'll be just fine.

I'll send you some photos when we get them. I've just seen the photos of all of the new kittens on the website...they're so cute! My husband might divorce me if we get another one right now though!

Ashton aka Marley

Marley.jpg

I want you to know that we are so very happy with our Marley ("the cat formerly known as Ashton").  He just fits so well into our crazy household.  It is so great because he likes to cuddle with everyone, including the dogs, so no one feels left out.

For me, he has made this week in particular a happier one.  It was this time last year in London that we found out that our wonderful kitty, Ziggy, had been kept outside by our house-sitter and was hit and killed by a car.  It was such a sad Thanksgiving last year. Marley will make this Thanksgiving a very joyous celebration.  Thanks for making it all possible.

Kingsley aka Toto

Kingsleysleeping.jpg

I wanted you to see him in his new home.  He is so adorable.  Personality plus.  Boundless energy.  And he is pretty smart and brave, too.  His new name is Toto.  Not for the band or the dog in Wizard of Oz.  Toto was the name of a mythical creature that had the wisdom of an owl and the courage of a lion.  He sleeps with me (or on me) and my youngest son, Alex, and I take turns babysitting him to keep him out of trouble.  But as he learns his way around the house, and explores everything, it will lose its newness and he will start settling down.  He took more naps today, although we had to force the issue.  He is so precious!  Thank you so much for bringing him into our lives. :-)

Thank you,

Gloria

 Emma

emma&linda.jpgemmaplay.JPG

Emma did fine going home. She slept most of the way. I loved on her some, of course.
Eli hisses, puts his ears back and acts tough. As long as he does not try to hurt Emma, he can do that, all he wants. Gracie is jumping up and down, with curiosity. Emma hisses at Gracie and avoids Eli.

Emma is in the bathroom, with food, water, the carrier and sand box, which she has already used. The door is propped open a bit, so Eli can get to the sand box. Emma has made herself comfortable on the shelf with the towels. She purrs every time I go in to check on her. She ate some of her food. I don't expect everyone to love each other right away, as it will take time, I know it will work out with lots of patience.

If you don't mind, I will drop you a note now and then with an update. Thank you for taking such good care of our sweet, lovely, innocent kitten. We love her already.
BIG Hug...
Linda & Dave

SASHA

Sasha.jpg

A tortoiseshell cat is a lovely cat.  A merry cat.  A silly cat.  A  tortoiseshell cat is a wonderful cat.  A perfect cat, indeed.  Yes, a tortoiseshell cat is the epidemy of delight, and it just so happens that I am a tortoiseshell cat.  I go by SASHA, an acronym:

S is for the Sassy switch of my tail

A is for All the devotion I will dispel

S is for the Sensational way that I purr

H is for the Heavenly softness of my fur

A is for the Affection that I will give you

Yes, I am SASHA and it is with you I wish to live. Please find it within your heart to love me:  a lovely, merry, silly, wonderful, perfect, delightful cat.  SASHA.

A word from my Foster Mom: SASHA is a girl after anyone’s heartNo bouncy balls, rubber mice, or jingle bells for this girl. No, her tastes are a bit more sophisticated, more refined. Her favorite pastime involves sitting in my lap gazing adoringly (one might even say enviously) at my diamond solitaire necklace.  She loves to bat at the shinny bauble and dream of Hollywood.  Yes, diamonds are a girl’s best friend.  SASHA is the most loving cat, she loves to be petted and adored.  She is a happy cat whose needs are simple:  a lap to call her own, a bowl brimming with food, and a diamond studded collar just for her.

SASHA was adopted by Vicki Sims and Family, where she is Queen.

 Mckenna aka Sugar Baby

McKenna.jpg

This elegant little girl is McKenna.  She is the sweetest little kitten ever.  She loves to cuddle and purr.  McKenna is most happy when she is in you lap being loved.  McKenna is being fostered in a family owned bookstore; therefore, she is very social and would make a wonderful family pet.   She is looking for her forever home...perhaps you can make her dreams come true.

Mckenna aka Sugar Baby was adopted by Judy Hubbard.

Hi from Sugar Baby~

I love my new home and my new mama and daddy. I made the trip home great! I have slept every night without meowing one time…of course I was lying between 2 people who are good snugglers. I went to the doctor today for a follow up checkup. I was a good patient…a bunch of big dogs came in and I just sat in mommy’s lap in my blanket.  Again, thank you for posting my picture on the internet…I think I’m a “princess living in a castle”…..I hope my sister finds a good home soon.

Love ~Sugar Baby

P.S. Also please tell my foster parents that I am having a great time playing with the little mouse you sent in the bag of goodies.
