Sponsor a Pet~ You can help a homeless pet by becoming a Pet Sponsor. Just $50 per month covers food, medical care and supplies. You choose the pet from our adoption list. Your name will be listed as that pet's sponsor. Lufkin O'Malley Alley Cat will provide all the love and care and make sure your sponsored pet is given every opportunity to be adopted. Become a Foster Home~ Foster homes are desperately needed. We receive calls regularly about cats who need our help. We are searching for loving families who are willing to open their hearts and homes to grateful cats. Display a O'Malley Donation Canister~ We have 100 donation canisters that need to be displayed in local businesses. Place them at work, at home (collect spare change from washer, under couch, junk drawer etc), favorite lunch spot,hair salon, pet groomer, etc. Please help! Every penny counts! The O'Malley Thrift Store~   SHOP~DONATE~VOLUNTEER! Our Thrift Store is NOW OPEN! Volunteers and donations of gently used items are needed and greatly appreciated.  We need donations of summer clothing, books, furniture and antiques.  We can make a difference! Spay and Neuter Your Pets~ Did you know that unwanted animals are killed in Texas Animal Shelters at the rate of over 1 per minute, 365 days a year? Much of this needless suffering could be prevented by owners spaying and neutering their pets.

YES, YOU CAN ALSO HELP WITHOUT ADOPTING OR FOSTERING!*  There are many ways private citizens can assist pets without adopting or fostering.  Here are some ideas and ways we can use volunteers:   

1. Help find and write Grants
2. Trap Feral Cats
3. Transport pets to the vet 
4. Donate bedding, litter, paper products, cat food
5. Monetary donations for spay/neuters, food, medical supplies, humane traps, feeding stations.  Since we are a 501c3 non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible
6. Donate a carrier, cage, crate
7. Donate time for Fund raising
8. Display Lufkin O'Malley donation canisters in local businesses
9. Pick up donation canisters
10. Donate kitty toys and treats
11. Sponsor our monthly O'Malley Newsletter
12. Help with copies of Newsletter and other O'Malley letters
13. Donate time to fold Monthly Newsletter and Stuff Envelopes
14. Donate pet store gift certificates
15. Donate cleaning supplies (wipes, enzyme cleaner, candles, pet air fresheners)
16. Donate office supplies, postage
17. Website maintance and website marketing
18. Take pictures of foster cats for website
19. Help with soliciting the public on special events, donations
20. Pay for an newspaer ad to place a pet
21. Donate other services if you own a business
22. Donate time to care for foster cats 
23. Donate items for our Benefit Thrift Store.  We will take anything and everything!  
24. Since we are a new organization, we need help with all the basics:  fundraising ideas, web page design, donation solicitation, Public relations etc.
